Getting there..

I was fortunate to meet uo with Janice Alton, Co Chair of Canadian Voice of Women for Peace, in the Toronto airport. Janice is a long time attender of the meetings of the CSW. Great to share information and plans and of course, the cab ride to the hotel!

The National Council of Women of Canada

This is a Blog on the 58th Meeting of the Commission on the Status of Women, prepared by the National Council of Women of Canada (NCWC). The meetings will take place from March 10th to the 21st, 2014.

NCWC was founded in 1893, incorporated by an Act of Parliament in 1914, and given national historic significance status on April 30th, 2001 by the Government of Canada. Since 1893 NCWC has been working to improve the lives of women, children and communities in Canada.

NCWC has consultative status with the United Nations, and each year sends a delegation to the meetings of the CSW.
